Απεβίωσε η διάσημη αφροαμερικανίδα ηθοποιός Cicely Tyson

Γυναί­κα του διά­ση­μου τζα­ζί­στα και συν­θέ­τη Miles Davis, με ανυ­πέρ­βλη­το ταλέ­ντο που ‑σε μια καριέ­ρα επτά και πλέ­ον δεκα­ε­τιών, της έδω­σε –μετα­ξύ άλλων, 3 βρα­βεία Emmy, ένα Tony και υπο­ψη­φιό­τη­τα στο γκα­λά του 1972, Χρυ­σές Σφαί­ρες και BAFTA, ενώ υπήρ­ξε η πρώ­τη μαύ­ρη γυναί­κα στην ιστο­ρία της Ακα­δη­μί­ας Κινη­μα­το­γρά­φου που βρα­βεύ­θη­κε με τιμη­τι­κό Όσκαρ για τη συνο­λι­κή της προ­σφο­ρά στο χώρο της υπο­κρι­τι­κής.
Το 2016 έλα­βε το Μετάλ­λιο της Ελευ­θε­ρί­ας από τον τότε Πρό­ε­δρο των ΗΠΑ, Μπα­ράκ Ομπά­μα και είχε δηλώ­σει ότι είναι «ένα από τα σημα­ντι­κό­τε­ρα επι­τεύγ­μα­τά της».

Η Cicely L. Tyson γεν­νή­θη­κε στις 19-Δεκ-1924, στο Χάρ­λεμ της Νέας Υόρ­κης και η φήμη της απο­γειώ­θη­κε στις αρχές της δεκα­ε­τί­ας του 1970.
Η Tyson ενσάρ­κω­σε την αφρο_αμερικάνα γυναί­κα που απαι­τού­σε σεβα­σμό και δικαιώ­μα­τα παί­ζο­ντας πρώ­ην σκλά­βες, διεκ­δι­κή­τριες πολι­τι­κών δικαιω­μά­των, συνη­θι­σμέ­νους καθη­με­ρι­νούς χαρα­κτή­ρες, μητέ­ρες και άλλες γυναί­κες, με ξεχω­ρι­στό μπρίο και –παράλ­λη­λα, σεμνότητα.

ℹ️  Η φιλ­μο­γρα­φία της περι­λαμ­βά­νει συμ­με­το­χή στα Sounder (1972), Roots (1977) και The Help (2011), καθώς και στην τηλε­ο­πτι­κή σει­ρά «How to Get Away with Murder» (2015–2020), «House of Cards» (2016) κά.
}Η Cicely Tyson έκα­νε το κινη­μα­το­γρα­φι­κό της ντε­μπού­το με ένα μικρό ρόλο στην ται­νία «Twelve Angry Men» (οι 12 ένορ­κοι του Sidney Lumet, με Henry Fonda, Lee J. Cobb, Martin Balsam κά), αλλά ο πρώ­τος της επί­ση­μος ρόλος ήταν στο «Odds Against Tomorrow» (στο πλάι των Harry Belafonte, Robert Ryan, Gloria Grahame, Shelley Winters κλπ) δύο χρό­νια αργότερα.

Στη συνέ­χεια, εμφα­νί­στη­κε σε θέα­τρο και τηλε­ό­ρα­ση -υπήρ­ξε και μοντέλο.
Στο ενερ­γη­τι­κό της είχε πρω­τα­γω­νι­στι­κούς ρόλους, όπως η Jane Pittman στο «The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman» (1974) και η Binta στη μίνι σει­ρά «Roots» (1977).
Πιο πρό­σφα­τα, την είδα­με ως Ophelia Harkness στο «How to Get Away with Murder», η οποία υπο­δυό­ταν τη μητέ­ρα της Annalise Keating (Viola Davis).

Η ταλα­ντού­χος ηθο­ποιός ξεπέ­ρα­σε –με το σπα­θί της, όλα τα εμπό­δια του ρατσι­στι­κού αστι­κού κρά­τους, αλλά και του κατε­στη­μέ­νου στον κινη­μα­το­γρά­φο του Χόλι­γουντ.
